The Santino Arte Planter offers a contemporary silhouette for style and a big self-watering reservoir for convenience. It is designed with an ingenious drainage system that allows excess water to drain from the substrate in the external pot. This planter maintains proper moisture levels for up to 4 weeks between refills.
The self-watering system saves you from the tedious daily monitoring of plants for soil humidity. It is suitable for any type of small or medium plant and also for the cultivation of different types of orchids. Your favorite flowers will be carefully fed with the optimum amount of moisture.
It is preferred because of pleasant shape, wide range of colors, and light weight, that make them comfortable in use. These pots can be used for home decoration and for decoration of offices, restaurants, hotels and hotel complexes as well. This planter does not include drainage holes and is not recommended for outdoor use where excessive rainfall is a possibility.
1. Before planting the plant directly into the soil, it is recommended to pour a layer of gravel (2-3cm/1inch) into the inner pot for ideal moisture balance. You can also use perlite or specific mixtures of these materials.
2. Pour the first layer of soil, which shouldn’t be much since you need to leave enough space for the root ball. Instead of soil, diverse types of peat mixtures, suitable for your plants, can be used.
3. Place the plant directly into the flowerpot and fill the remaining space with soil. Slightly compress. Add a little bit more soil, because it will settle within 2-3 weeks by 5-10%.
4. Water your plant directly into the soil. Make sure that the water level does not exceed the level of gravel.
The water reservoir of ARTE pot holds different amount of water depending on the size of the pot:
